Our Mission
Modern Dental Assistant School is committed to providing future dental professionals with the education to become highly trained, knowledgeable, and ready to work. We provide hands-on classroom instruction by expert faculty as well as clinical utilization of state-of-the-art technology.
Our Program
Modern Dental School strives to make our students successful and professional members of the dental community. Our school is committed to giving students opportunities to learn and develop skills that are integral to dental assistance. Our program goals are the following:
- Prepare our students to become work-ready as dental assistants and confident in their clinical and practice management skills
- Prepare our students to function as integral members of the dental team while performing chairside and related office and laboratory procedures
- Provide our students with the interpersonal skills and necessary competencies for patient-centered care
- Educate our students about current technologies and give them the skills necessary to adapt to the changes in dental/orthodontic fields
- Provide a curriculum that will give our students the knowledge and understanding of the professional duties and standards, incorporating legal and ethical responsibilities of a Dental Assistant

Our Leadership
Dr. Harry Ashitey
Dr. Ashitey blends his extensive expertise in dentistry with artistic and creative talents. Together, these skills enable him to offer the treatments and procedures necessary to create the best, most beautiful smile for each individual patient. He’s an innovator who strives to not only transform his patients’ teeth — but also to transform cosmetic dentistry. He stays on the leading edge of dental technology and procedures so he can offer his patients the best treatments and the best training and education to his staff.
Dr. Ashitey obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. When he is not in the dental setting, he enjoys spending time with his family.
Julie Costley
Graduated fromTexas Woman’s University in Denton with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene with Minor Biology in 2000. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 21years.
She is very gregarious and enjoys sharing quality dental knowledge with her students. In her spare time she spends her time working out and doing yoga.
